Our 2025 Cavett Science Fair is complete! Hope to see you next year!
The Science Fair is open to all students grades K-5. All students who would like to participate will need to register by returning the form that was sent home to their teacher or by signing up on the PTO website.
When: Tuesday, January 28, 2025
Time: 6:30 pm
Setup will be the day of the science fair starting at 5:30 pm
Judging will begin shortly after 6:30 pm.
Students will earn a ribbon for their participation.
Friends/Family are invited to attend the event and learn about students projects.

- LPS Science Fair Guidebook: This guidebook was sent out for the District Science fair held in March. We will be using it as a reference for judging and it's a great resource for the school science fair. The guidebook can be found at the bottom of this page and on the LPS website.

Topic options for grades 3-5:
- 3rd Grade Connections- Electromagnet Applications, Biomimicry Engineering Solutions, Design Solutions to prevent impact of severe weather, etc.
- 4th Grade Connections- Solar or Wind Turbine Solutions, Green Energy Solutions, Communicating over distances, solutions to prevent erosion, etc.
- 5th Grade Connections- Designing a new salad dressing with design constraints, designing freshwater collection systems, ways to preserve the ecosystem, etc.
